Creationist and pastor Ken Ham claimed today that Bill Nye “The Science Guy” does not “understand science correctly” because the former PBS host does not believe the Bible.

Ham was upset about a discussion that Nye and Bill Maher had on the HBO's “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday, noted RawStory.com.

During that program (video below), Nye expressed concern that the Texas State School Board wants creationism included in text books.

"If you claim that the earth is ten thousand years old, that's just wrong," said Nye.

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

Maher added, "They say five thousand."

"Five thousand, it's just wrong. The earth is flat, no it isn't," stated Nye.

Ham wrote on Facebook today: “What a load of nonsense. These two mock the Bible and totally distort the Bible’s account of the creation of the sun and the moon.”

“Bill Nye still doesn’t understand the difference between historical science and observational science–so he may be known as ‘Bill Nye the science guy’–but he doesn’t understand science correctly.”

Ham’s organization, Answers in Genesis, offers educational material for children on its website, which supports the "young earth" theory that the planet is a few thousand years old.
