St. John’s Anglican Church in Niagara Falls, Ont. recently posted a message on their church sign that went viral on the web.

The controversial sign reads: “Jesus had two dads and he turned out just fine!”

After being posted on the social media site Reddit.com, the sign got thousands of positive and negative votes, noted SunNewsNetwork.ca.

According to the New Testament in the Bible, Jesus is the son of God, but was raised by his mother Mary and her husband Joseph.

“I don’t find it offensive in any way. We have people in our congregation who are homosexual. We are an all-inclusive church, a family. No one cares what your sexuality is. Come on in, we don’t see any difference,” stated St. John’s rector Lynne Marchant.

However, Matthew 19:4-6 states that Jesus said: “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
