Christian radio host Janet Porter warned parents on her radio show today that lesbians were coming to the Disney Channel and to “steer your kids elsewhere.”
According to TV Guide, an episode of the Disney Channel's "Good Luck Charlie" will feature a family with two moms during its final season in 2014.
The episode will feature Charlie's parents setting him up on a play date with another child who has two mothers.
"This particular storyline was developed under the consultancy of child development experts and community advisors," said a Disney Channel representative. "Like all Disney Channel programming, it was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness."
However, Porter skewered Disney during her "Faith2Action" commentary, notes RightWingWatch.org (audio below).
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
"Now, you can’t trust the Disney Channel," Porter said. "One of their more popular programs, 'Good Luck Charlie' will in a few months be introducing a family with two lesbian mothers. Caving into pressure to include homosexual characters in their programs, they plan to do this in the last episode of what is scheduled to be the final season of the show."
Porter added: "Disney Channel Vice President Gary Marsh needs to hear from us. His email address is gary.marsh AT disney.com. Politely let Mr. Marsh know your objections to the bad plans for the 'Good Luck Charlie' program at gary.marsh AT disney.com. In fact, there isn’t much on the Disney Channel safe for children to view. More reason to steer your kids elsewhere!"
