King’s College president Dinesh D’Souza has resigned from his position amid controversy over his alleged extramarital affair and engagement to 29-year-old Denise Odie Joseph.
D’Souza’s resignation comes just days after it was reported that he’d shared a hotel room in September with Joseph, whom he referred as his "fiancee" while still married to Dixie Brubaker, reports the Daily Beast.
D’Souza wrote and directed the anti-Obama documentary '2016: Obama’s America.'
Last week, D’Souza was featured on a conference call for Rick Scarborough’s 40 Days to Save America.
D’Souza said President Obama was “attacking the traditional values agenda" and claimed that “Obama doesn’t like traditional Christianity because he identifies it with colonialism.”

In a statement to FoxNews.com, today, D’Souza claims that he has not had an affair with Joseph, denies sharing a hotel room with Joseph and has been seperated from his wife of two years.
D’Souza also stated: "I had no idea that it is considered wrong in Christian circles to be engaged prior to being divorced, even though in a state of separation and in divorce proceedings."
D’Souza also attacked WORLD magazine, which broke the story:
Marvin Olasky, the editor of World, is the former provost of the King’s College. Olasky was on the search committee when I interviewed to be president, and he vehemently opposed my candidacy. Olasky publicly admitted that he was resigning his position as a consequence of my appointment.

The reporter who wrote this story, Warren Smith, also used to work as a consultant for King’s until I decided not to renew his contract. And what was Olasky’s gripe against me? As he put it, I was seeking to make King’s a non-denominational “mere Christianity college” in the image of C.S. Lewis. This for Olasky was simply intolerable. Having nursed his grievance for two years, now apparently Olasky is using World to continue his vendetta.
