“It sort of blew my mind,” Smith said. “It was like a smack to the side of the head.”

In response, KC Sawyer, who plays keyboards in One Floor Away, said: “What we do with our band we prefer to keep quiet.”

Now Smith is demanding the band remove his contribution from a single that was recently released on iTunes because he won't support them.

According to their website, One Floor Away was formed in 2009 and describes themselves as “a high-energy pop rock band."

“As a socially conscious band, One Floor Away is committed to promoting positive and constructive moral values,” says the website.

Fortunately for Smith his day job is working as a Bradford County, Pennsylvania Commissioner.

Smith is currently running for the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor in the May 2014 primary.
