The Daily Advertiser, a Gannett-owned major paper serving central Louisiana, recently ran an ad, which suggests that President Obama and Democrats are conspiring to murder Catholics and Christians.
The ad (below) was created by the 'Agenda 21 LA Coalition' and shows a photograph of Father Francisco Vera who was shot and killed in Mexico in the 1920s. The ad suggests that President Obama and Democrats would also execute people of faith.
Popular VideoPeople were so furious about this Pepsi ad that Pepsi pulled it after just one day. Watch it here and decide if it's offensive:
The ad copy reads:“AMERICA is under siege by the same evil (obama and democrats) as history shows over and over…We must learn from it or we are doomed to repeat it. We must be triumphant over terror.”
In response to the outcry against the ad, The Daily Advertiser's president and publisher Karen J. Lincoln said: “We look at all of the ads, and the decision is made by each market. This ad did meet our standards. The decision to run it was approved.”
