Catholic Bishop Salvatore Cordileone Compares Gay Marriage to Male Breastfeeding

Salvatore Cordileone, the Catholic Archbishop of San Francisco, recently told the Catholic Herald that gay marriage is a natural impossibility and “is like legalizing male breastfeeding.”

Archbishop Cordileone said: “Truth is clear. Wanting children to be connected to a mother and father discriminates against no one. Every child has a father and a mother, and either you support the only institution that connects a child with their father and mother or you don’t. Adoption, by a mother and father, mirrors the natural union of a mother and father and provides a balanced, happy alternative for when a child may not be reared by their biological parents.”

“Legislating for the right for people of the same sex to marry is like legalizing male breastfeeding."

Cordileone also warned Catholics not to use the Bible as a defense when arguing against marriage rights because “you will play into their hands and they will say you use religion to control people.”

ThinkProgress.org reports:

Cordileone was considered the father of Proposition 8, initiating much of the fundraising and organization for the 2008 effort to ban same-sex marriage in California.

Perhaps after he takes care

Perhaps after he takes care of the kid screwing in his chosen religious delusion, people won't want to throw large rocks and sharp objects in his general direction.

When a catholic speaks about anything all I hear is small boys screaming.

Those that can't or won't defend themselves can only be slaves.

So says someone whose church

So says someone whose church enforces celibacy and non-marriage on him. What a hypocrite.
