Christian radio host Linda Harvey recently praised Russia for its censorship of gay people and its law banning homosexuals from adopting children.
"The outrage (over Russia's anti gay speech law) seems to be solely due to the denial of influence and access to underage youth. Homosexual advocates claim to want to adopt children, but relatively few homosexuals actually do," said Harvey (audio below).
“A ban on homosexuals adopting children was also part of this law as well as a ban on gay pride parades, something we should consider in cities here, and a ban on any public promotion of homosexuality."
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
"This law passed by a wide margin in the Russian parliament and is supported by over 80 percent of the Russian people," claimed Harvey, who did not cite a poll.
“It’s amazing to me, with all of Russia’s flaws, they understand how important this is and we don’t. Homosexual groups specialize in playing the victim card even though in reality the Russian law is all about preventing children from being victims so it’s not victimizing anyone.”
Harvey did not mention people in Russia who have been imprisoned and beaten for speaking out on gay rights, reported Buzzfeed.com.
