Anti-Obama Pastor Tells Women to be Silent in Church (Video)

| by Michael Allen

Pastor Steven Anderson recently instructed women at the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Phoenix, Ariz. not to say the word "amen" or even speak during his preaching.

Pastor Anderson made headlines when he called for homosexuals to be executed in July 2013, reported The Christian Post.

ThinkProgress.org noted in 2009 that Pastor Anderson stated, "I hope that God strikes Obama with brain cancer so he can die like Ted Kennedy. You know, and I hope it happens today."

According to RawStory.com, Pastor Anderson referenced bible verses 1 Timothy 2:11 and 1 Corinthians 14, which both call for women to be silent, yesterday in church (video below).

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

1 Corinthians 14 specifically tells women to "keep silence in the churches, for it is not permitted unto them to speak, as it is commanded to be under obedience as also sayeth the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is shameful for women to speak in the church.”

Theologian John MacArthur says these verses don't prevent women from speaking in church, but rather prohibit ladies from assuming leadership positions over men and speaking in tongues in church.

“Even the Bible’s really clear on this,” stated Pastor Anderson. “Even if they were to have a question, they’re not to ask that question in the church, number one. Number two, even if they want to ask that question to their husband, they should wait until they get home.”

"...When I’m preaching, women should not express their opinion, even if it’s a positive opinion, even if she agrees with me,” stated Pastor Anderson.
