Anti-Gay Pastor Says Anti-Hobby Lobby Protesters are Bigots

| by Michael Allen

Pastor Nick Reed of the Victory Burbank Church in Burbank, Calif., recently lashed out people whom he called "liberal" bigots, even though he opposes the rights of gay people.

The Burbank Leader reported that between 20 and 30 people, mostly women, protested outside a Hobby Lobby store in Burbank last Friday because the Christian-owned company refuses to cover certain types of birth control for its female employees.

Hobby Lobby, which recently won its case in the U.S. Supreme Court, invests millions in the very same birth control drugs it opposes, as well as some abortion medication.

According to RawStory.com, Pastor Reed was apparently having difficulty finding a parking place near the Hobby Lobby and tweeted:

I am sorry liberals have nothing better to do on July 4th #getalife.

Pastor Reed reportedly deleted that tweet, but did add:

One protesters [SIC] sign says "no bigotry in burbank" aren’t they being a bigot by protesting a company that is exercising their belief!?

I find it funny how liberals try and marginalize themselves with lies and exaggerated statistics!

Back in February, Pastor Reed expressed his support for an Arizona bill that would have allowed businesses to discriminate against gay people.

“At the end of the day, we do understand that God’s word gives us very clear teachings on topics like this,” Pastor reed told KCAL. “We as a Christian, as a Bible-believing church, want to follow those guidelines above the opinions or political correctness of our society.”
