Elizabeth Johnston, a self-identified Christian who runs "The Activist Mommy" blog, burned a copy of Teen Vogue on July 13 because the magazine featured an article about anal sex (video below).

Johnston, who homeschools her 10 children, posted a video of her fiery protest on her Facebook page:

I cannot believe what this Teen Vogue piece of trash has printed in its June edition. They are teaching children, 11 through 17, that's the target audience of this magazine, Teen Vogue, children 11 through 17, how to be safely sodomized.

Yes, they are teaching kids how to have anal intercourse. We should not be teaching children, period, how to have sex. You look at what's in this magazine for teenagers, teaching kids how to masturbate here; here all about homosexual sex, gender fluidity; oh yeah, Lena and Grace Dunham, real role models for our teenagers.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

Johnston then told parents to go to their local stores and libraries, and demand they pull the magazine in a collective act of censorship.

Johnston tore up the magazine, and dropped it into a small fire. She ended the video with a cheerful "Thanks and God Bless."

The Teen Vogue article, written by sex educator Gigi Engle, is online and states:

If you're not comfortable reading about anal sex, that's perfectly OK, too. We have plenty of other articles around a variety of issues and wellness. Feel free to click out if you'd like! No pressure at all.

Obviously there is a lot of stuff on the Internet about anal (we don’t suggest you Google it), but most of what you’ll find is either porn or advice for experienced sexual persons looking to try something new. What about the teenagers? What about the LGBTQ young people who need to know about this for their sexual health?

The comments on The Activist Mommy Facebook page were numerous and mixed:

No liberal magazines allowed in my house I even cancelled the kids highlights. They are so left sided.

Momma Bears Have To Start Standing Up! Don't Let Someone Else Raise Your Kids! Parents This Is What Your Kids Could Be Reading! Talk With Them. I'm headed to the store shortly to see if it's on the shelves and talk to a manager or owner. Thanks Activist Mommy!!!

YOU SINGLE-HANDEDLY SOLD THOUSANDS OF MORE MAGAZINES FOR THEM... Great advertising!

Haha I this is why I follow you! good job, we don't need this filth around kids..

[S]o wrong - I will look when I'm shopping and see if it's in any of our stores and call attention to the managers - thanks for all you do in God's name.

To be honest as teen myself I dont find this bad because if what your saying is we shouldnt teach young adults about sex then how are they going to carry out God's intentions and breed and have children yeah Anal sex and masturbation is something religions don't I agree with I get that but its becoming a normal thing in society i mean whocares its a normal and healthy thing to talk about and I think what they're getting at here is that they want teens to be familiar with phrases and stuff so that they can talk about it maturely and not be embarrassed about it.
