A transgender woman, Shauna Smith, was charged with felony voyeurism at a Target store in Ammon, Idaho, on July 11 (video below).

"There was an adult female victim there that reported she was in one of the changing rooms trying on clothes, then she discovered someone was reaching over the wall with a cellphone and taking pictures of her," Bonneville County Sheriff’s office Sgt. Bryan Lovell told KPVI.

Lovell said the female victim confronted Smith, who then ran out of the store. Deputies later arrested Smith based on surveillance video and eyewitnesses.

Voyeurism has never been endorsed or allowed by Target, but the Christian-based American Family Association, which called for a boycott of Target on April 20, said on its website on July 14:

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

This is exactly why we told Target that their store policy is dangerous. Target continues with its reckless policy.

As back-to-school shopping season nears, I'm asking your family to avoid shopping at Target stores...and to warn your friends about the danger Target presents to women and children.

Target's lack of action on this issue has proven that their main concern is not the safety of their customers. Target management is more concerned with political correctness and pleasing the sexual deviants than protecting women and children.

Greg Scott of the Christian law firm Alliance Defending Freedom said in a statement that policies allowing transgender people to choose their bathroom "make girls and women more vulnerable to those who do have bad intentions," reports The New York Times.

Mara Keisling, the executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality, countered: "This has nothing to do with whether or not I should be allowed to use the bathroom in a restaurant, whether a first grader can use the bathroom, whether a high schooler can play school sports. If this person was a voyeur, they will be dealt with by the legal justice system the way they deal with voyeurs."

The Target changing rooms are not male and female, but rather unisex, KPVI reports.
