Actor Antonio Sabato Jr., a speaker at the Republican National Convention, thanked Jesus Christ and said no election was needed to make presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump the next president on (video below).

Sabato told MSNBC on July 18: "That’s the only choice, there is no one else. I think Trump should just win it now so we can just move on and get our country back on track."

"You don’t think there should even be an election?" MSNBC reporter Craig Melvin asked Sabato.

The former "General Hospital" star replied: "No, I don’t think so. I think we have seen enough for the last seven and a half years. Enough is enough."

After discounting the need for an election, Sabato added: "I thank Christ every day for giving me this opportunity to be here and speak. I believe that our president will be Mr. Donald Trump, and I’m very excited because we’re going to get this nation back to where it should be. Hopefully we’ll forget the last seven and a half years."

During his RNC speech, Sabato mentioned he was not born in the U.S., but immigrated from Rome, Italy, in 1985.

Sabato said he followed all the rules and became a naturalized citizen 14 years later in 1996.

"Others who want to come to the U.S. to live and work should follow the same rules!" Sabato said.

Sabato also stated, "Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton promote division, don't be fooled, but Donald Trump is for unity."

Another celebrity speaker at the RNC was former "Happy Days" star Scott Baio, who was asked by CNN's Dana Bash if he regrets retweeting a picture on July 10 of Hillary Clinton with the word "C--t," notes Mediaite.

"It’s just a picture somebody sent and we sent it out," Baio said. "You make of it what you want. I didn't have anything behind it. I just sent it out there, you know. You look at it, you look at it any way you want."
