Reggae star Gregory Isaacs has died at the age of 59 after a long battle with cancer.
Jamaican singer Gregory Isaacs died at his London home on Monday after a long battle with cancer.
Isaacs’ wife Linda, who was by her husband’s side at his time of death, said, “Gregory was well-loved by everyone, his fans and his family, and he worked really hard to make sure he delivered the music they loved and enjoyed. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.”
Gregory began his music career in Jamaica in 1960 and released over 50 albums.
The singer’s song “Night Nurse” was his most famous song, which was covered by the group Simply Red in 2008.
Isaacs is survived by his wife and children.
