Michael Jackson’s brother Randy is furious his parents agreed to a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The Big O visited MJ’s mother Katherine on Saturday at her Encino, California property, and interviewed her and estranged husband Joe Jackson.
MJ’s children, Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and eight-year-old Blanket, were also reportedly interviewed for the soon-to-be-broadcast interview.
Randy took to Twitter to express his anger over the interview, asserting it would have been against the late singer’s wishes.
He also said Winfrey had a vendetta against MJ, referring to a program she broadcast on pedophilia during the singer’s molestation trial in 2005.
“Let me say that I love my mother and father. I am humbly grateful to have them as my parents but I don’t always agree with the choices they make. This is one of those times,” Randy wrote.
“I found out Oprah was at our family home, my stomach ached and it still hasn’t gone away. I had no prior knowledge this was going to happen. It was deliberately kept from me because they knew I would have tried to stop it.
“I know how Oprah feels about my brother and family. I also know that he would not have wanted this… in fact, she is the last person on earth he would want around his children.”
He added: “I can never forget when she had the show on pedophilia during the jury deliberation process in my brother’s Santa Maria case. That was no coincidence.
“I’m angry…just trying to hold myself together.”
Fighting words. I guess the big question is, what was the family’s motivation for the interview? Cynics may argue it’s just another cash-for-catharsis exercise from the Jackson clan, but who knows. What do you think?
