A billboard featuring Julianne Moore posing naked with a Bulgari handbag and a pair of lion cubs has been banned in Venice, Italy, after city officials deemed it “inappropriate”.
The Bulgari ad, which was set to be displayed in St Mark’s Square, shows the actress in the nuddie, covered up by lion cubs, handbags and jewellery.
Venice’s recently elected mayor, Giorgio Orsoni, deemed the ad too risqué, and blocked the use of the billboard.
He told Italian newspapers: “An advertisement showing a nude woman on a divan is not appropriate for St Mark’s Square.”
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
Bulgari will now instead use a fully-clothed snap of Moore modeling Bulgari jeweellery.
