Pro-Lifer Heckles Obama at Martha Coakley Rally

Sunday, President Obama was holding a rally for Democrat pro-abort MA Senate candidate Martha Coakley, and a pro-life protester interrupted him.

Obama didn't have a good response and lost control of the crowd...

"You, you, you need somebody...." That's right, Mr President, you do.

No justice, no peace. Amen and amen.

voices of dissent, unlike another recent administration that required attendees of events to sign loyalty oaths.

Meh, if some loons want to try to force their own religious or philosophical opinions on the rest of us, let them speak, ad then let them be laughed out of the building.

Kind of a shame to see children recruited into such an authoritarian cult mindset, though.

How dare those people have the audacity to express their thoughts?!

What did they think they were? Citizens or something?

Did they laughably think they had the First Amendment freedom to speak their minds?

Didn't they get the memo: Only members of the Coakley/Obama/SEIU/ACORN mob are entitled to their points of view.

Bend over and take it because " change is coming".

because a speech isnt one person talking and everyone else showing respect to the person who has something to say.
its obviously everyone saying whats on their mind whenever they want to especially when they disagree with the person talking. Stupid Obama your such a dictator asking for respect when you have the floor, wowie cant wait till we have someone like Bush.
Bend over and take it because "your an ass".

SolarSanitizer's picture

Was "getting in the faces" of those with which he disagrees.

Didn't Obama say to do exactly that?!

Who is the dictator now? Why are you talking about Bush?! Didn't he meet his term limit a year ago? Try and keep up, "you're" holding up progress, highspeed.

first of I apologize about being prejudice about the whole Bush thing, I assumed you were one of those who was prejudice to Obama because of his party and being liberal.(not saying you arent you might be but I apologize for the prejudice i displayed, its just i have seen many show it).

Second, we are still talking about a speech . im sure Obama didnt mean to interrupt someone in a formal speech just to get in their face. The guy could have made a much more better impact and could have gotten his opinion heard in a much better way if he give his own speech instead of heckling a person of whom he disagrees with.

third, as stated, this guy is a pro-life person, probably (dont want to make another fallacy) leading to the fact he does not approve abortion . thus making him on the vote for banning abortion. Now which seems more dictator-ish to you, banning the right for someone to get rid of their baby or letting people chose whether they want it or not. the matter if abortion is "right" or " wrong " is morally and will always be nothing more than an oppinion like everything else that has to do with morallity. I'm sure you dont like people pushing their opinion on you rather interupt you when your giving your speech so they can "get in your face" about what they think is right.

fourth, i have no clue what your trying to say in your last sentence is trying to say,

Two wrongs do not make a right, and both were wrong to say what they said.

Obama did get interrupted, and while that is impolite, we need to remember that while Obama has a bully pulpit, that guy effectively has no voice.

Whose voice is more important? Are they really not equal in their rights to express their views? Should America only listen to those in power? But yeah, interrupting is rude.

Pro-life vs. pro-choice is a contentious debate, and an important one. I agree that people should be able to make their own choices, but babies are people too. Who stands up for them?

As a counter to THE argument that a person has the right to abort their late term baby (Yes, late term. I'm only talking about viable infants with heartbeats, brain activity and clearly defined features.) A person does not have the right to kill their 5 year old child , where is the moral difference here?

As to the last sentence: Discount that as a case of my asshattery and illogical name-calling. Allow me to apologize also.

As usual the far right shows it's true colors and their inability to act in a civil manner. The funniest thing is they try to claim a morale high ground while acting like spoiled children wanting attention.

Why can't the right be like the civilized left and beat people up at rallies like the SEIU? Or refer to people that disagree with them as "Tea Baggers"? That's the kind of civility this country needs and I'm glad someone finally had the cajones to stand up and finally say it.

Liberal good.
Conservative baaaaad.
