Reports that O.J. Simpson had been beaten up in a prison yard are false.
The National Enquirer reported that Simpson had been beaten to a pulp by a fellow inmate at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center, where he is currently serving time for armed robbery.
The tabloid claimed Simpson was knocked to the ground and beaten to a “bloody pulp” by a white supremacist during a prison yard fight.
But a spokesperson for the Nevada Department of Corrections says there’s “no truth” to the story, adding there was “no incident at all” and “O.J.’s fine and healthy”.
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
The tabloid originally wrote, “Inmates cheered as a muscular young skinhead knocked him to the ground, punching and kicking him to a bloody pulp and inflicting injuries so severe he secretly spent nearly three weeks in the infirmary before he recovered.”
It said the alleged incident occurred because of O.J.’s bragging about “his sexual conquests of beautiful white women”.
However, Simpson, reportedly “laughed his a** off” when prison staff informed him of the fable, reports TMZ.
Simpson is currently serving a 33-year sentence at the facility.
