A man believed to be connected to the murder of Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen committed suicide at a hotel in Hollywood Wednesday evening as police were serving a search warrant there.

Two law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times that the name of the man was not released, and that his exact connection to the Chasen murder case was not immediately known.

However, the sources said polce believe he was involved in Chasen's death. The man shot himself at around 6 p.m. local time.

Chasen was shot to death on November 16 in Beverly Hills as she was driving home after a movie premiere.

Much of the evidence points to a professional hit, including Wednesday's revelation that she was shot five times in the chest, in a cluster that only a professional marksman could accomplish.

Note: At a press conference at 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said they're not willing to call the deceased man a "suspect" at this time but rather a "person of interest."
