Michigan State Police mounted on horseback knocked down a pro-union demonstrator at the State Capitol in Lansing, Michigan in a video (below) recorded by the Lansing State Journal.

The pro-union protesters were demonstrating against the 'right to work' legislation that was passed today in the Michigan House.

Protesters booed police while the man was unable to get up.

The Lansing State Journal‘s Dave Wasinger tweeted today: “Just now able to send out this tweet: At least one protester run over by police horse. Protesters not happy.”

Michigan State Police Inspector Gene Adamczyk told the Lansing State Journal this morning: "We’re feeling good today. We have an enhanced police presence and we want to be highly visible so people feel safe and secure."
