Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said recently the U.S. won’t solve its “tremendous problem” with terrorism until President Barack Obama “gets the hell out” of office.

Trump sat down with CBS “Face the Nation" moderator John Dickerson after a Dec. 4 campaign event in North Carolina. The interview aired Dec. 6 during the regular broadcast of the Sunday morning talk show.

In the interview, Trump slammed Obama for not using the term “radical Islamic terrorism" to describe the Nov. 13 Paris terror attacks and the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, on Dec. 2, according to Politico.

“Until he admits that this is a problem, we’re never gonna solve the problem,” Trump said. “But he’s only gonna be there, fortunately, a little bit more than a year. Because the problem will get solved when he gets the hell out.”

The GOP front-runner also doubled down on previously controversial calls to track Muslims and use profiling to battle terrorism.

“I think there can be profiling,” Trump told Dickerson. “If they thought there was something wrong with that group and they saw what was happening, and they didn’t want to call the police because they didn’t want to be profiling, I think that’s pretty bad. People are dead. A lot of people are dead right now. So everybody wants to be politically correct, and that’s part of the problem that we have with our country.”

Trump also again advocated for tracking people.

"If they're Muslims, they're Muslims, but you have people that have to be tracked," he said.
