Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was interrupted by Rev. Faith Green Timmons on Sept. 14 while giving a speech at an African-American church in Flint, Michigan, that got too political (video below).

Trump spoke about the water poisoning crisis in the city, but veered off into an attack against Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, notes Talking Points Memo.

"China, now, if you look at what is going on, a trade deficit of $500 billion dollars," Trump stated. "Hillary failed on the economy just like she's failed on foreign policy, everything she touched didn't work out, nothing. Now, Hillary Clinton--"

Timmons walked up and interrupted: "Mr. Trump, I invited you here to thank us for what we've done for Flint, not give a political speech."

"Okay, okay, that's good, and I'm going to go back onto Flint, okay," Trump told her.

Trump was interrupted again by Timmons or someone else in the audience.

Trump asserted that the people who caused the Flint water problem "had no clue," but some Michigan officials were warned about the problems some 10 months before Republican Gov. Rick Snyder of Michigan held a news conference to warn citizens, noted the Detroit Free Press in February.

As a matter of record, Hillary has never set U.S. economic or foreign policy, but she was the Secretary of State under President Barack Obama.

According to Raw Story, some on Twitter mocked Trump and praised Timmons:

Props to the preacher in Flint who just hit the gong on Trump mid-speech.

Lord, that #Flint pastor gave me life!!!

Donald Trump speaking in #Flint gets cut off. We don't want your BS.

Note how quickly Trump backed down from the Lady preacher. I want to send her my $$.

Trump's visit to #Flint was another cheap photo-op just like his visit to Louisiana to hand out play doh..

How about handing Trump a glass of Flint water?!? #Flint.

Listen to the end. It's clear that Trump has absolutely no understanding of the Flint drinking water issues.

However, a Trump supporter tweeted: "Trump was interrupted during a speech in Flint, MI. The woman said we didn't invite you to make a political speech. WHAT A VERY RUDE B****!"
