Trump Advisor Trolls People On Twitter For Thanksgiving

| by Michael Allen

President-elect Donald Trump is famous for trolling people on Twitter, but he took the day off Nov. 24 to enjoy Thanksgiving.

For people who might be missing his snipes and jabs, top Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway tweeted a link to The New York Times, and added this bit of snark: "Look who 'can't accept the election results' Hillary Clinton Supporters Call for Vote Recount in Battleground States."

CNN host Jake Tapper reminded Conway in October how she attacked Trump for whining about a rigged system in the GOP primaries back in April when she was working for Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas. At the time, Conway said of Trump: "We hear from the Trump campaign, 'The rules change, it's not fair, the system’s rigged, the system’s corrupt ... He can whine and complain all he wants that he didn’t know the rules."

Conway defended her past attacks on her present boss to Tapper:

We love watching that clip together. But that was actually about what was happening on the weekends. Where Donald Trump would win the vote, he would basically win all the electoral votes in a state, and then on the weekends, the Cruz campaign would go back and follow the rules and get back some of those delegates. So no, it's not a pattern for him.

Tapper noted that Trump repeatedly called the GOP primary and the general election rigged.

Randi Weingarten, the president of the American Federation of Teachers, tweeted about Trump's choice of private school advocate Betsy DeVos for Education Secretary on Twitter on Nov. 23: "Trump has chosen the most ideological, anti-public ed nominee since the creation of the Dept of Education," notes The Hill.

Conway fired back on Thanksgiving: "A ringing endorsement for Betsy Devos, tapped for Ed Secretary, from @rweingarten. Congrats, Betsy! Repeal #CommonCore, increase choice."

As a matter of record, Common Core cannot be repealed as the educational standards never became law.
