Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida released an ad on Feb. 14 that features an opening shot from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (video below).

In the opening, a boat goes across a harbor during sunrise as a voiceover says, "It's morning again in America."

The news site also found a second Shutterstock listing of the same scene that was tagged only as Vancouver.

The image reportedly matches up with Vancouver Harbor, a Canadian flag looks to be flying from the boat and the videographer has shot other scenes in Vancouver.

“Ha! Nice catch by BuzzFeed — we hadn’t noticed that,” a Rubio spokesman told the news site. "We are not going to make Canada an issue in this election.

Videographer Guy Chavasse told CBC News that he filmed the scene in North Vancouver in August 2015.

"It's pretty funny, isn't it?" Chavasse said. "It's a good-looking video, no doubt, but it's pretty recognizable as Vancouver."

"Well, I had a good laugh ... I'm not exactly a big Republican fan or a Rubio supporter," Chavasse added.

"It's always cool to see your stuff being used," he said.
