Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, who is running for president, recently confirmed he opposes abortions for women who are victims of rape or incest (video below).

Rubio made his statement on Aug. 17 during an interview with conservative radio host Glenn Beck, who asked the GOP candidate about his anti-abortion position, notes RightWingWatch.org.

Rubio stated:

"Look, a human being, in my view, this is how I deeply feel, it's not political issue or an abortion debate, I believe a human being is entitled to life, irrespective of the circumstances in which that human being was conceived and so forth. In order to be ideologically consistent, I hold that position that you just outlined."

During an interview with ABC News' "This Week" on Aug. 16, Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson was asked about abortion for rape and incest victims.

"I believe that once conception has been achieved, that it is a human life," Carson stated.

Later, a Carson spokesperson said: “Dr. Carson believes abortion is not acceptable after conception.”

It was reported last week that Carson was the co-author of a medical study on fetal brain tissue in 1992.
