Anthony Scaramucci was seen eating at President Donald Trump's namesake hotel in Washington, D.C., shortly after being fired.

Scaramucci was spotted at the Trump Hotel's BLT Prime with former Trump campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson and other associates on July 31, the Daily Mail reported. He lasted 10 days as the White House communications director.

During his short-lived tenure, Scaramucci made headlines when he used bizarre and inappropriate language when speaking about former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Chief Strategist Steve Bannon. He was then let go on the first day of John Kelly's tenure as the chief of staff.

While at dinner, Scaramucci reportedly spent most of his time on his cell phone, and barely even touched his food. He sat at a discreet table at the corner of the restaurant under a tree.

Scaramucci declined requests for interviews and left quietly through a side exit. It was the first time he was seen out in public since the news of his departure from the Trump administration broke.

Other diners found it interesting that Scaramucci was in the Trump-owned restaurant shortly after being fired from his administration.

"Maybe Trump was putting him up and he didn't have time to check out yet. I guess as he's not from D.C he hasn't go his own base," one diner told the Daily Mail. "He was in and out so quickly. It's incredible."

That same day, Trump took to Twitter to proclaim it had been another "great day at the White House," though it is unclear what exactly prompted the president's tweet.

Pierson, who was Trump’s spokeswoman in the final year of his campaign, also took to Twitter to reveal that Scaramucci had somehow stopped the news of his firing from being leaked. "FWIW: [Scaramucci] was fired at 8am but the press found out when the WH shop released it in the afternoon," she tweeted. "Apparently, he stopped the leaks."

"Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director," the White House said in a brief statement. "Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best."

It's been a rough week for Scaramucci. It was revealed over the weekend that his wife was filing for divorce from him while nine-months pregnant. His wife's divorce lawyer shot down rumors that she wanted to separate from Scaramucci because of his White House ambitions and devotion to Trump.

“I don’t know where that came from, but it is not accurate. It is a false fact,” Jill Stone told People, adding that it is the “only thing I can say” about the divorce.
