Sarah Palin Attacks Media for Reporting Her Family’s Brawl

Former half-term Alaska governor and current Fox News commentator Sarah Palin lashed out at the media for reporting on a drunken brawl that her family was involved in last month in Anchorage, Alaska.

Audio recordings taken by the police and the police report were posted online by Talking Points Memo and other news sites.

Earlier this week, Palin's adult daughter Bristol attacked the media on her blog for allegedly waging a war on "conservative women"  and gave her version of the wild fight, which appeared to contradict witnesses and the police report.

Palin went on her Facebook page to address the drunken melee:

Looking at the reports, it strikes me as bitterly ironic that the same people who tell us there is a “war on women” have no problem laughing at the recording of my daughter crying as she tells police about being assaulted by a man. I’d like to say shame on the media and those on the left laughing at her or at any young woman in a similar situation, but I no longer think they have any shame.

According to RawStory.com, Palin posted links to Bristol's blog, but didn't mention that Bristol was described by Anchorage police as being “angry and intoxicated" at the party, which the homeowner told the Palins to leave.
