Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders just got an endorsement from one of the most popular UFC fighters in America, reports Inquisitr.
On Nov. 10, Ronda Rousey officially backed Sanders in Vermont. Although Rousey was rumored to be supporting Donald Trump, the undefeated mixed martial arts athlete profusely insisted that she does not endorse Trump.
“I mean, I wouldn’t vote for him,” she told Maxim magazine. “I just really wouldn’t trust the guy with running my country, that’s all. I’m not really going to get into specifics of it, but, I mean, I don’t want a reality TV star to be running my country.”
This isn’t the first time Rousey has endorsed an eccentric presidential candidate. In 2012, Rousey voted for independent candidate and actress Roseanne Barr. “I was so unimpressed with the whole presidential campaign that I picked whatever third-party I saw, and I saw Roseanne and thought, ‘That’s awesome,'” she said.

Rousey supports Sanders because of his position on campaign funds receiving donations from corporations. Rousey shares the same views as many of Sanders' followers, and is opposed to corporations financing political candidates.
“I’m voting for Bernie Sanders, because he doesn’t take any corporate money,” Rousey said in the Maxim interview. “I don’t think politicians should be allowed to take money for their campaigns from outside interests.”
Sanders is putting his money where his mouth is, and refusing to take funds from multiple companies — including CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, Martin Shkreli.
Shkreli recently raised the price of a life-saving AIDS treatment from $13.50 to $750 a pill, and has been branded the “most-hated man in America,” according to BBC. Sanders gave Shkreli’s $2,700 donation to a hospital in Washington, D.C., instead of returning the contribution.

Ronda Rousey isn’t the only celebrity to endorse the progressive candidate. Will Ferrell, Susan Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo and Danny DeVito are all feeling the Bern.
Musicians are also joining the Bernie bandwagon: Belinda Carlisle, Bonnie Raitt, Chris Shiflett and Flea are all publicly supporting Sanders.
Sanders is preparing for the next Democratic debate on Nov. 14 at 9 p.m. EST.
