President Donald Trump's sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. are reportedly growing jealous of Jared Kushner, who is married to their sister Ivanka Trump and works in the White House as a senior adviser.
An unidentified source who is close to the Trump family told People: "All the attention to Jared is a bit of a sore point and they feel left out of the fun in D.C. They miss being at the center of the action."
The 36-year-old Kushner, whose previous work experience was in real estate investing, is part of major policy decisions ranging from Middle East peace to reforming the criminal justice system.
The family source added: "Don worked on the campaign and Jared gets the big Forbes cover and they make him out to be a big genius, and Don is like: 'No, I worked on the campaign too!'"

While Kushner advises the president, the Trump brothers are running the Trump Organization from Trump Tower in New York City.
The family source told People how the Trump brothers miss the limelight:
During the campaign, the brothers thrived on being the spokespeople and speaking at rallies and being very visible. Jared was able to build much more influence and power by doing exactly the opposite, [but] it’s not like outward hostility [toward their brother-in-law].

A second unidentified source told the magazine: "Jared is hard to crack at first, seems uptight. But he’s hilarious."
In 2016, Donald Trump Jr. set up a meeting with a Kremlin-linked lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, who was described to him in emails as a "Russian government attorney" who had "high level and sensitive information" about Hillary Clinton which was "part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump." The meeting contradicted the many denials by Trump Jr., the president, the Trump campaign, and the Trump administration that there were ever any campaign meetings with Russian representatives.
The family insider opined that the Trump brothers were better off staying out of politics: "They were better off where they were, they bore no responsibility. This now brings Don into the story and attaches him to this negativity."
An earlier report by People noted that the brothers could not wait for their dad's presidency to be over.
A friend of the Trump brothers told the magazine that the brothers hated being first sons: "Eric and Don, they never wanted this. Don can’t do any deals, because he’ll be overly scrutinized. He just goes to work every day and is miserable."
The magazine notes that Ivanka has long been Trump's favorite child, and he once said he would date her if she were not his daughter. The president's fondness for his daughter may explain why she and Kushner have White House titles and offices in the West Wing.
"The loyalty within this family is insane," a family friend who is close to the Trump brothers told People. "They would never speak against their dad. You can’t bite the hand that feeds you, but he [Trump Jr.] can’t wait for these four years to be over."
