Though most Republican presidential candidates haven’t hesitated to go after Donald Trump, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky upped the ante during an interview Fox News's “Hannity,” claiming his opponent isn’t actually conservative.
"I really have no idea what he believes in, because he's been on both sides of every issue," Paul said.
"I believe he's pretending to be conservative because of this sort of desire to be all things Trump, all things to all people, but I don't believe it's genuine or sincere.”
Paul argued that Trump has actually been a "progressive Democrat” for most of his life but decided to run as a Republican because Trump felt he had a better shot at the White House that way, The Hill reported.

"I don't think there's anything conservative about him. I think he's selling us a bill of goods. So I think we need to be very careful that we don't succumb to celebrity," Paul added.
