Trump Considering Resigning Due To Flynn Testimony

| by Jonathan Constante

President Donald Trump is reportedly considering resigning from the White House following reports that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has offered to testify about possible Russian interference during his 2016 presidential campaign.

Flynn will be interviewed by the FBI and Congress in exchange for immunity, The Wall Street Journal reported. His attorney, Robert Kelner, said his client reached out to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, which are investigating potential ties between Trump's campaign and Russia.

“General Flynn certainly has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it,” Kelner wrote in the statement, according to the Inquistr.

Reports of Trump's campaign working closely with Russian intelligence officials have been circulating for months. The allegations were put out in a dossier compiled by a former British MI6 agent.

According to the report, Russian officials had worked for several years to cultivate Trump as a U.S. presidential candidate. They allegedly gathered embarrassing information to use as blackmail, and offered financial deals to Trump.

The dossier also alleged that Trump struck a deal to lessen sanctions on Russia in exchange for help with beating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.

The help allegedly came in the form of leaked emails from Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Russian hackers allegedly published the emails through WikiLeaks.

Flynn had removed himself from the Trump administration just three weeks into the job after reports that he mislead Vice President Mike Pence about communications with the Russian ambassador to the United States, Sergey Kislyak, surfaced.

Flynn was also previously paid $45,000 to speak at the 10th anniversary gala of a Russian television network in Moscow in December 2015, NBC News reported. He was already a Trump adviser at the time.

Several sources are now claiming that Trump is considering resigning from office in the face of Flynn's potentially damaging testimony.

"#FLASH A previously reliable source says they have 2 further sources stating Trump is 'considering his options, including resignation,'" tweeted a former U.S. military official and “hacktivist” known as The Jester.

The Jester reportedly has connections throughout the intelligence community, along with a strong track record with predictions, Inquistr reported. Claude Taylor, a White House staffer under former President Bill Clinton, has also reported that Trump is considering resigning and is even working on a deal to receive a pardon from Pence.
