Kellyanne Conway made a major gaff on live TV, and there could be some very serious consequences for her (video below).
Time reports that one of President Donald Trump's top political aides, Kellyanne Conway, visited "Fox & Friends," where she took to severely criticizing opponents of the new president who have gone daughter Ivanka Trump's clothing line.
Many liberals and some retailers, such as Nordstrom, are boycotting the line, which Conway claims is inappropriate given Ivanka's status as a successful business woman.
But Conway went even further during the interview, saying, "Go buy Ivanka's stuff."
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
“This is just wonderful line,” Conway told "Fox & Friends." “I own some of it. I fully—I’m going to give a free commercial here. Go buy it today, everybody. You can find it online."
Lawrence Noble, general counsel at the elections law non-profit Campaign Legal Center, wrote on Twitter that Conway may have "violated the ban on Federal employees using public office for endorsement of a product."
However, enforcement of that law is up to the discretion of the White House, so it remains to be seen if the president will take action against his top political aide.
