Video: Rep. Louie Gohmert Calls on President Obama's Former Law Students to Sue Him

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) appeared on Fox News’ Hannity on Monday night where he called on President Obama's former law students to sue him (video below), reports RawStory.com.

An appeals court, with three Republican-appointed judges, recently ruled that President Obama violated the Constitution when making recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board during Christmas break, just as President Bush did for eight years.

The three-judge panel said the Senate remained formally in session even though one Republican would simply announce the Senate was in session and then, a second later, bang the gavel and announce that the Senate was no longer in session.

Rep. Gohmert said: “It is part of the Constitution. I think one of the big legal ramifications that should come out of this is a class-action lawsuit by all of those who had him as a constitutional law instructor to get their money back. I think it would be a lay-down case for them. This guy does not respect the Constitution, he does not abide by the Constitution, and we’ve seen it repeatedly.”

Rep. Gohmert made no mention that President Bush did the same type of recess appointments as President Obama did.

President Obama was a professor of constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School before launching his political career.
