Republican congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) said today’s Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare is “illegitimate” and has called for Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan to be impeached (video below).

Rep. Gohmert said: “We still have the issue of Justice Kagan. Either she was totally derelict and negligent in her duties as Solicitor General and had absolutely nothing to do with the most important bill to the president, her boss, or she did have something to do with it.

"She has violated federal law, and as such she needs to be removed from the Supreme Court... I think it’s important to look at Justice Kagan for potential impeachment."

Ahh, yes, the "activist

Ahh, yes, the "activist judge" argument. Every time that a judge decides in accordance with the law or the Constitution, the teapublinazis want to have them removed from the bench.

The only time I have ever seen real activist judges is when SCOTUS found in favor of Citizens United and again when they recently struck down the Montana law that prevented corporate money from getting into elections in that state. Those are the REAL activist judges; and it is a sure sign of corruption.

The truly hypocritical part is that his healthcare coverage costs him nothing and he wants to deny that "right", which he takes advantage of, to the people that he is supposed to be working for.

The insanity principle is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. The far right, the far left, vegans, creationists and other extremists believe in the insanity principle, religiously.

The Tea Party crowd has been

The Tea Party crowd has been from day 1, attempting to put forth a new interpretation of the constitution. This idiot's interpretation of federal law is faulty and based in politics and not precedent.

Republican congressman Louie

Republican congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) is a loudmouthed jerk, but so what. 99% of these Tea Party Congressmen are incompetent jerks to begin with. Sad fact is that incompetent jerks also voted them into power. That's a little more scary.

I think impeaching Antonio

I think impeaching Antonio Scalia is a far more pressing priority since he has ignored precedence of being impartial as a Judge, and is making political speeches. If he disagrees with the President, let him resign from service in the Supreme Court and run as a politician. Otherwise he should keep his big yap shut.

It is not his job to agree

It is not his job to agree with the President, it is his job to interpret the Constitution to the best of his ability, and the President to follow the Court rulings. He is still a citizen of the United States and is not a member of the military, therefore all his civil rights are intact. Bothersome to those who think only those who agree with should have rights, but that is life. For now, anyway. He certainly has as much if not more right to speak his opinion as an appointed official that say...Michele Obama, or George Clooney.
