While Americans will watch President Obama sworn in for his second term in chilly Washington D.C. today, he was actually sworn in yesterday inside the White House because the U.S. Constitution requires the President to be sworn in on January 20, which fell on a Sunday (video below).
Obama was sworn into office for a second term just before noon, with First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia standing nearby.
The oath was administered by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. in the White House Blue Room, reports CrooksandLiars.com.
