| by Michael Allen

Appearing on MSNBC this morning, college student Sandra Fluke said that President Obama called to encourage her (video below).

Fluke was denied the opportunity to speak at a recent GOP congressional hearing on contraception and has been the target of numerous attacks by right wing radio host Rush Limbaugh for three days.

Fluke said that Obama thanked her for speaking out.  The president also told Fluke to "tell (her) parents that they should be proud."

Meanwhile, Rush Limbaugh continued his attack on Fluke (audio below), saying that she needed to stop having so much sex: "This woman comes forth with this frankly hilarious claim that she’s having so much sex, and her buddies with her, that she can’t afford it. And not one person says, did you ever think about maybe backing off the amount of sex that you have?"
