Sean Hannity Blames Obama for False Claims Made by 'Birthers' (Video)
Fox News host Sean Hannity attacked President Obama for not releasing his birth certificate fast enough to satisfy wacky conspiracy theorists who claimed (and still claim) that he was born in Kenya.
Rather than hold "birthers" such as Donald Trump accountable for their crazy accusations, Hannity blamed Obama, noted MediaMatters.org (audio below).
“I actually think at this point the president wants, he loves to be a victim, I’m beginning to notice, a victim of birtherism," stated Hannity. "I just thought it was strange that he the president didn’t hand over his birth certificate like everybody else."
Hannity failed to mention who "everybody else" was, but Obama has been the only president ever questioned about his U.S. citizenship.
According to RawStory.com, President Obama released his short-form birth certificate in 2008, which didn't satisfy conspiracy nuts. In 2011, President Obama released his long-form birth certificate, however, Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio still believes Obama’s birth certificate is fake.
In 2011, Trump told Hannity that his "team of investigators in Hawaii" had come up with information regarding Obama's birth certificate, but never said what it was, noted MediaMatters.org (video below).
“This went on forever,” complained Hannity. “I just thought it was odd, not to turn over your birth certificate.”
