A self-identified Republican caller referred to President Obama as the N-word this morning on C-SPAN.
C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" was taking phone calls about Tuesday's election when "Anthony" from San Diego, Calif., called in and warned that GOP leaders should not try to do too much (video below), noted Talking Points Memo.
"I know they're going to overreach but I'm telling you, if you advocate for the repeal of Obamacare and you get too extreme, then Hillary Clinton will be elected President in 2016," said Anthony.
"This is about race," added Anthony. "The Republicans hate that n------ Obama."
C-SPAN host Steve Scully cut Anthony off and stated, "We're not gonna use that kind of language. You can certainly make your point, but you cross the line when you use language like that and so to our viewers and listeners, I want to apologize."
Last night on "The Rachel Maddow Show," the MSNBC host dispelled the myth that Republicans are willing to work with President Obama for the next two years, noted MediaMatters.org.
Maddow said that after their celebration on Tuesday night, Republican leaders gave a speech with a "Stop Obama, Fire Reid" sign in the background.
