The GOP-controlled House of Representatives passed a bill last week that would fund the U.S. government, but defund Obamacare, which has been a U.S. law since 2010.

Republicans have announced their strategy will be to blame President Obama for shutting down the U.S. government if he does not defund the law that will expand health care coverage to about 30 million Americans.

Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) appeared on Steve Deace's radio show today and followed the GOP talking points that President Obama wants to shut down the government, notes RightWingWatch.org (audio below).

Rep. Huelskamp also claimed that “90 percent” of Americans oppose Obamacare's supposed requirement that “every single person under Obamacare” has to pay a $1 fee per month for abortion.

This claim was made by the anti-abortion website LifeNews.com, but was debunked by Politifact.com and Salon.com in 2012, however, Rep. Huelskamp repeated it as fact.

"Every single person under Obamacare will pay one dollar a month and most of it is going to to go to Planned Parenthood. One dollar a month, that's never happened before. Never before in America, that's like a 90 percent issue. Republican can't you stand a 90 percent issue? You had a little problem standing on a 99 percent issue called Syria, but hold the line just a little," said Rep. Huelskamp.
