There are almost daily Obama "scandals" reported by conservative media outlets such as Fox News. The stories range from Obamaphones to the Department of Homeland Security buying bullets to create a police state.

While speaking at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois today, President Obama slammed the “endless parade of distractions, political posturing and phony scandals” (video below).

"I am here to say this needs to stop,” said the president, noted Mediaite.com.

He also slammed a "faction of Republicans in the House" who "gutted a Farm Bill that Americans farmers depend on, but also America's most vulnerable children depend on."

The president was speaking about the SNAP food stamp program that serves millions of Americans, including kids, which was cut off from the Farm Bill by the GOP-controlled House.

“If you ask some of these folks in the House about their economic agenda, or how they’d strengthen the middle class, they’ll shift the topic to 'how to control government spending' despite the fact that we have cut the deficit by nearly half, as a share of the economy, since I took office,” stated Obama.

"Or, they'll talk about government assistance for the poor, despite the fact they've already cut early education for vulnerable kids. They've already cut [unemployment] insurance for people who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own."

"Or, they'll bring up Obamacare, this is tried and true. Despite the fact that our businesses have created nearly twice as many jobs in this recovery as they had at the same point in the last recovery when there was no Obamacare," said Obama.
