Obama Has 'Committed Impeachable Offenses' Claims Rep. Michele Bachmann (Audio)

During an interview with talk show host Rusty Humphries yesterday, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) claimed that President Obama has "committed impeachable offenses."

Rep. Bachmann was taking part in a "tele-townhall," noted the Tea Party News Network. Questions for Rep. Bachmann were submitted by Tea Party supporters (audio below).

The Tea Party Congresswoman said that President Obama could be impeached by the House, but would not be removed from office by the Democrat-controlled Senate, reports RightWingWatch.org.

“We can have an impeachment hearing in the House and in my mind the President has committed impeachable offenses,” stated Rep. Bachmann.

"I agree," said Humphries.

However, neither mentioned what those "impeachable offenses" actually were.

After recalling the violent overthrow in Egypt earlier this year, Rep. Bachmann warned, "We could be on the cusp of seeing some civil disobedience. I'm not saying that I want civil disobedience, but people aren’t going to take this thuggery of this President much longer.”

However, she did not say specifically what the 'thuggery" was.

“We see thuggery going on in the White House, we’re not going to take it, we’ve drawn a line in the sand, and we're telling the president, 'You need to recognize that this isn't just about Article II, President of the United States, there's also Article I, the Congress of the United States, and you've got to recognize that you are a co-equal branch of government, you are not a dictator,'” declared Rep. Bachmann.

However, President Obama has never claimed to be a dictator or even suggested the presidency was superior to Congress.
