A rodeo clown wearing an Obama mask appeared at the Missouri State Fair this weekend to the delight of most of the crowd.

When the Obama rodeo clown appeared, the rodeo announcer asked the crowd: “Who wants to see Obama get trampled?”

However, some in the crowd were offended.

“This isn’t a Republican state fair, I want to write the governor and the fair board, because I want my money back. This was shameful,” said fair attendee Perry Beam to RawStory.com.

According to Beam, when the announcer stated that the Obama clown would be attacked by a bull, the crowd began to cheer.

“I felt like I was at a Klan rally," Beam said. "Is this what we want people to see of us? I’m a native of Missouri, I play country music for a living. Knuckleheads. They should know better."

Neither the Missouri State Fair or the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association, which produced the rodeo, has made any comments.

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon’s press secretary, Scott Holste, said in a statement: “The governor agrees that the performance was disrespectful and offensive, and does not reflect the values of Missourians or the State Fair,” noted The Kansas City Star.

UPDATE: The rodeo clown has been banned for life from the Missouri State Fair.
