Chief U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull admitted that he had sent a racist email, from his courthouse chambers, that suggested President Barack Obama’s mother had sex with a dog.
Cebull forwarded the email titled ‚ÄúA MOM‚ÄôS MEMORY‚ÄĚ from his official courthouse email address to six people. It was eventually forwarded to the Great Falls Tribune.
The email stated: ‚ÄúNormally I don‚Äôt send or forward a lot of these, but even by my standards, it was a bit touching. I want all of my friends to feel what I felt when I read this. Hope it touches your heart like it did mine.‚ÄĚ
‚ÄúA little boy said to his mother; ‚ÄėMommy, how come I‚Äôm black and you‚Äôre white?‚Äô His mother replied, ‚ÄėDon‚Äôt even go there Barack! From what I can remember about that party, you‚Äôre lucky you don‚Äôt bark!‚Äô‚ÄĚ
Judge Cebull said of the email: ‚ÄúIt was not intended by me in any way to become public. I apologize to anybody who is offended by it, and I can obviously understand why people would be offended.‚ÄĚ
‚ÄúThe only reason I can explain it to you is I am not a fan of our president, but this goes beyond not being a fan. I didn‚Äôt send it as racist, although that‚Äôs what it is. I sent it out because it‚Äôs anti-Obama.‚ÄĚ
"I did not forward it because of the racist nature of it. Although it is racist, I‚Äôm not that way, never have been.‚ÄĚ
