New Poll Finds Republicans Most Trust Trump On Economy, Nuclear Weapons

Donald Trump is the most trusted GOP candidate to manage the economy, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted after the third primary debate. 

Overall, 31 percent of respondents favored the real estate mogul. Ben Carson, Trump’s direct competition, came in second with 18 percent of the vote.

When it came to who was trusted the most to manage the economy, Trump garnered 59 percent of the vote. Carson came in at 36 percent on the question of trust, Marco Rubio in third with 27 percent and former CEO Carly Fiorina with 25 percent, reports Reuters.

When asked about handling nuclear weapons, 34 percent of Republicans polled said they’d trust Trump the most — though Carson garnered 39 percent.

The survey, conducted online between Oct. 28 and Nov. 2, revealed 29 percent of voters who said their opinion on Trump became more positive following the recent CNBC debate. However, 22 percent said their view became more negative.
