Trump Billboard In Arizona Sparks Controversy (Photo)

A billboard in Arizona showing President Donald Trump next to two symbols that look similar to swastikas sparked controversy and debate among residents.

The billboard was created by artist Karen Fiorito, who said she couldn't resist using the billboard to speak her mind.

"I got the opportunity to have a platform to say something, and I took that opportunity, and I take full responsibility for it," she told KSAZ. The Limited Liability Corporation, she said, was the Phoenix-based organization that gave her the opportunity to make such a statement.

The billboard shows Trump in front of mushroom clouds, along with two dollar signs that look similar to swastikas on each side of him. On the back of the billboard is a picture that shows the sign language spelling for "unity" depicted by hands of different skin colors.

The billboard received mixed reaction from residents -- some of whom applauded it, and others who said it was inappropriate.

"I think this is the greatest thing that I've seen in a long time," resident Mike Bolenbach said. "I think everything Donald Trump is doing is destroying America from the inside."

Others were not as supportive.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true:

"Take it to your house!" resident Jeff Whiteman said. "I live right here. I have to wake up to this every day. Disrespectful."

Many readers spoke out against Fiorito's work, saying that it was childish and unnecessary.

"You have to excuse the "progressives" This is essentially the sum total of their debating acumen.. Juvenile and unfounded name calling.. In addition, to various "isms," they also love their made up "ophobe" labels.. You can respect somebody of a different viewpoint when s/he is willing to engage in debate via facts, but the progressives are now a band of caterwauling pre-schoolers who run solely on emotion," one Daily Mail reader commented.

Meanwhile, Trump's approval rating hit an all-time low, according to a new Gallup poll. The finding showed that Trump's approval rating dropped to 37 percent, while his disapproval rating stands at 58 percent. His approval rating one week earlier was 45 percent, CNBC reported.

The approval rating comes as Trump continues to garner criticism for his handling of accusations regarding Russia and his communication with Russian leaders during the campaign.

FBI director James Comey is set to testify regarding claims made by the president that former President Barack Obama wiretapped him during his campaign -- an allegation that he has thus far backed up with any evidence.
