Mitt Romney accepted an apology from MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry on Sunday, after she and her guests made jokes about a family photo featuring Romney’s adopted African-American grandson Kieran.

Comedic actress Pia Glenn sang the Sesame Street song "One of These Things Is Not Like the Others” and Harris-Perry pondered what a wedding between Kieran and Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West would be like.

Another guest added that the picture sums up the diversity of the Republican party.

“My intention was not malicious,” Harris-Perry said, “but I broke the ground rule that families are off limits, and for that I am sorry.”

Romney responded to her comments Sunday during an interview with Fox News Sunday.

“I think her apology was clearly heartfelt, and we accept that,” Romney said.

Romney was also asked to comment on the Affordable Health Care Act. When questioned whether he thought he could defeat President Barack Obama had Americans known they would lose their health plans, Romney replied that he didn’t know.

Romney added that he wished he could go back in time and try to run again, but that “history is in the past."
