Melania And Barron Trump Not Moving To White House

| by Oren Peleg

President-elect Donald Trump will be the oldest president ever to take the oath of office -- he will be 70 on Inauguration Day. In addition, Trump will be the first sitting president since Grover Cleveland in 1885 to live in the White House alone.

Trump, who currently resides in Manhattan at the Trump Tower with his wife, Melania, 46, and their son, Barron, 10, will move by himself to the White House come January 2017. Melanie and Barron will remain at the Trump Tower penthouse so that Barron can continue his education at a private school in the Upper West Side, reports the New York Post.

“Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign,” an unnamed source close to the Trump team told the Post. “The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum.”

Tuition is reportedly $40,000 for Barron, who is currently in fourth grade. “She is really devoted to Barron,” the source added, citing that Melania picks her son up from school instead of relying on nannies.

According to Fox News, Trump told reporters that Barron and Melania will join Trump at the White House "right after [Barron] finishes school."

Both President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton had school-aged children while in office. Both families sent their children to the private Sidwell Friends school in the northwest region of Washington, D.C.

In the meantime, Melania and Barron will continue to reside at their midtown Manhattan penthouse.

“That building is going to become the White House of New York,” Jim Reese, a former Delta Force commander and current president of the security firm TigerSwan, told the New York Post. “The Secret Service is going to have to keep that whole area cordoned off so that some wacko can’t get close and detonate a car bomb.”
