Andrew Joseph Alemao was arrested on Jan. 26 for allegedly throwing two tomatoes at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump during a rally at the University of Iowa (UI) Field House in Iowa City, Iowa (video below).
One tomato fell short, and the other sailed over the GOP front-runner, but the 28-year-old Alemao was taken into custody by the Secret Service and UI police officers, notes KCRG.
Alemao was charged with a disorderly conduct misdemeanor.
Trump was interrupted several times by other protesters during his speech.
Alemao was released from the Johnson County Jail on Jan. 28 without posting any bail, notes The Associated Press.
