Man Dies Peacefully After Told 'Trump Has Been Impeached'

| by Michael Allen

Michael Garland Elliott reportedly died at age 75 on April 6, thinking that President Donald Trump had been impeached.

Michael's unusual obituary was published in The Oregonian:

Mike ran out of family long ago and is survived by his ex-wife and best friend, Teresa Elliott. Though their marriage ran aground, their friendship only grew stronger and hers was the last voice Mike heard.

And the last thing she said to him was "Donald Trump has been impeached." Upon hearing that he took his final, gentle breath, his earthly work concluded. Mike will be forever missed but never forgotten.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

"I knew it was his very, very last moments," Teresa told the New York Daily News. "I knew that would bring him comfort and it did. He then took his final breath."

The newspaper asked Teresa if she regretted lying to Michael on his deathbed, and she replied: "Oh God no. If I could leave him with a happy piece of news then why wouldn’t I? And maybe in the end it won't turn out to be a lie."

She described her ex-husband as a "news junkie" who despised Trump: "He hated his effing guts."

Teresa said she and Michael divorced 20 years ago, but she still cared about her ex and often visited him.

Michael's obituary also referred to his love of golf and his temper:

He was very passionate about the game. One time (that we know of) he was angered by an errant shot and threw his club into a tree. Eventually every club in his bag was in that tree. Mike's health had declined over the past decade, and when he was no longer able to golf he accepted it with grace and humor, and threw things at the TV instead.

The obituary also said Michael once lived in Long Beach, California, where "he joined a semi-pro basketball team that toured the country playing exhibition games, dressed as women. At such times Mike was called Skaggy Maggie and continued round-ball domination, albeit with a different uniform."

In a similar situation, Elizabeth "Liz" Smith died at age 87 on Feb. 14 in Norwalk, Ohio. Her obituary, posted by the Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services, said: "Liz is smiling now, not to be living during the Trump Presidency."

Another elderly man who did not care for the president, 70-year-old Jeffery Cohen, died in January 2016. His obituary, published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, read: "Jeffrey would ask that in lieu of flowers, please do not vote for Donald Trump."
