During the first official event of her 2016 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton stated that she would support a constitutional amendment to fix the campaign finance system.

Clinton said during the event at Kirkwood Community College in Monticello, Iowa, that reforming the “dysfunctional” system would be a pillar of her presidential campaign.

“We need to fix our dysfunctional political system and get unaccountable money out of it once and for all -- even if it takes a constitutional amendment,” she said during her opening remarks at a roundtable discussion with students and instructors.

Asked by the Washington Post if she had a plan for how she would fix the campaign finance system, Clinton confirmed that there was an agenda.

“We do have a plan. We have a plan for my plan,” she said. “I'm going to be rolling out a lot of my policies...Stay tuned.”
